Monument is one of the leading manufactures of paper bags, in Great Britain the Republic of Ireland, and the EU, Supplying mainly the flour and confectionery industries.
Monument recently held an open day event, this was to unveil and celebrate the launch of the company's new paper sack and small bag making machines. The main feature of the sacks, being the new easy release tear strip, which is not currently available in the UK.
The company was founded in 1985 by David Long Senior, and is now a family run business along with his wife Elaine, their four children, Tracie, Steven, David and Andrew, and Bill Brimmell our general manager. The company now employs over 30 staff. |
